Mr.Ray king has created the hanging balls structure like never before.hanging over the digital commons center at the college of business is a configuration made of floating steel spheres representing twenty four milestones in the history of the college. The artistic sculpture is located in the west atrium of Austin hall, Oregon State University

The position of steel spheres is the same as the placement of beads on an abacus. This is used to create an indication of different year numbers; each year is represented by a horizontal reckoning bar and four vertical rows, each of which is made up of seven spheres. For instance, the year 1858 was represented in the sculpture as it marks the date when Corvallis Academy was founded.
